Dubai, or Dubai City as it is sometimes called, is located along the Persian Gulf in the emirate of Dubai, one of the seven United Arab Emirates. Dubai is the second largest emirate, after Abu Dhabi, but it is the most populous.
Although the oil business generates a significant portion of U.A.E. revenue in the other emirates, Dubai’s revenue comes largely from construction projects, international convention business, and increasingly, tourism. Also in contrast to the other emirates, the population of Dubai is largely comprised of immigrants, many from south Asian countries. Lodging options in Dubai range from apartments and villas in upscale neighborhoods and an increasing number of commercial hotels. Asia, Asia, billed as the largest shopping complex and hotel with 6,500 rooms, is being constructed over the next few years.

·Dubai
Lodging options in the greater Dubai area. Dubai, located in the Middle East is a land of peace, and offers visitors beautiful white sandy beaches and plenty of shopping malls. This area is served by Dubai International Airport (DXB), located 2.5 miles east of Dubai.
·Abu Dhabi
Lodging about 80 miles southwest of Dubai in and around Abu Dhabi, the largest of the United Arab Emirates. This area is served by the Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH), about 20 miles east of Abu Dhabi. |

Lodging options north of Dubai in Sharjah and Ajman. Sharjah is the third largest of the seven states which form the United Arab Emirates. Ajman is located just 40 minutes from Duabai and is the smallest state of the United Arab Emirates. This area is served by Sharjah Airport (SHJ) located 6 miles southeast of Sharjah. |
